I chose to make a swimming pool for this project because swimming is important to me. It is important to me because I've been swimming for 5~6 years. I first started swimming half way through 2nd grade, and I still swim now, and swimming was the only sport that I consistently practiced, and enjoyed. The pool that I made includes the lane ropes, the ladders, the diving blocks, and the 5 meter flags.
In this lesson I learned to resize, and change the way shapes look in Gravit. For example, I learned how to change the round-ness of the shape, and also to change how many points a shape had. I also learned to create and change compound shapes. This would be important in the future if I wanted to make a new shape that I couldn't just make by clicking a button in the drop-down menu.
Something I learned today was how to layer and organize objects in Gravit. For example, I had to make sure that the layers in the blue circle were in the correct order, so that I could make the gradient affect happen. I also had to make sure that my shapes were aligned, so that my work would be organized. I made sure to group all of my patterns, so that I could move them without worrying what would happen if I accidentally ruined my pattern. This would be important in the future because we would need to make sure that the shapes are in the correct order.
